a social being?
not one to hang out with other humans most of the time, i find my latest social/spinning/crochet engagement shocking. i am giving some prizes to the nyc spinout, which will be held in central park tomorrow (june 24). i may even attend :) the event sounds like fun and also raises $ for heifer international. if you're feeling flush, you can donate thru june 30 to this good cause at the link above.and THEN, i've finished crocheting a nipple for the nipple project.
it's not too late - you can still send them your's til july 31!
at the top of the page, there's the yarn i started with, handspun by me, COILY!!! beneath that are versions of the crocheted nipple, top and side views. they will join lots of other hand crafted nipples to be joined into one big nipple artpiece. can't wait to see the whole thing assembled :)
and i'm crocheting (for my amusement) some kind of mitten project for another group.
found out about that from my friend ms. pippi's blog
will show pix in time...

ya mean people don't crochet mittens? i didn't know...but these may look only a bit like mittens~they might be technically unwearable~they might verge on performance art :)

i'm trying to figure out how to respnd to comments here (and have them be seen as replies at blogspot. yes, i do the occasional update. i try to keep it crochet/spin related here. why, i don't know. all these little compartments...

i tend not to hang out so much with anyone but my hubby and my kitties, either. i like my studio way too much.
